Yes, you can transfer your existing landline or virtual landline number to Air Landline.
We believe you should always try before you buy. So first sign up for a trial, then if you’re happy, email us the number you’d like to transfer. Once the transfer completes, it’ll replace the number you were assigned during sign up.
There are no porting fees. It’s only £9.99 a month (+VAT) for each landline number you host with us.

That’s it, we’ll take care of the rest! Once we’ve verified your documents, we’ll submit the transfer request to your current provider.

Are there any porting fees?
No, we don’t have any transfer fees.
How long will the transfer take?
The transfer process typically takes 2-4 weeks but it’s mostly just liaising with your old provider through formal processes in the background, so it depends on how quickly they respond.
Is there any downtime during the transfer process?
The transfer takes place on a single specific agreed date between us and your current provider and we configure everything before the transfer date so there’s almost never any downtime at all.
What documents do I need to upload?
I have broadband on the line, will that be affected?
Some providers disconnect the broadband once the number is transferred, while others may re-number your broadband line and continue your broadband service. You’ll need to contact your broadband provider to check. It’s not possible to have broadband on an Air Landline so if you purchase broadband in the future and it requires a line, you’ll need to ask your broadband provider for a new number for the broadband.
If you find you can’t transfer your number over to us because of broadband, you can instead get an Air Landline number from us, then ask your current provider to divert all calls to your current number to the Air Landline number (note this will mean your contract with your current provider continues as normal).

Can I cancel my contract with my current provider?
You must ensure the number is active and don’t cancel your contract with your current provider until your transfer is complete otherwise your current provider could reject our transfer request as ‘number not in service’.
I am locked in a long term contract with my current provider, what shall I do?
You can get an Air Landline number from us, and then ask your current provider to divert all calls to your current number to the Air Landline number. It will be a landline to landline call so you can check if you have landline to landline calls already in the package with your current provider (note this will mean your contract with your current provider continues as normal). Then once you’re out of contract with your current provider, you can email us to transfer your number to Air Landline.
Do I need to tell my current provider that I’m leaving them?
You can do if you’d like, but there’s no need if you don’t want to as they’ll know you’re leaving when they receive the transfer request from us through the formal process.
Can you transfer any landline number whether it’s virtual or a traditional hardwire line?
We can transfer any UK numbers starting with 01, 02, or 03. We don’t host or transfer-in numbers starting with 08 (e.g. 0845, 0808 etc).
Is there a long term contract?
No, we don’t tie you into any long term contracts. You simply pay monthly and can always cancel at any time for free.
Can I leave you and transfer to another provider in the future for free?
Yes, you can leave us and transfer your number to a new provider (e.g. BT) for free. We don’t charge any transfer fees.
Can I use the Air Landline features without transferring to you?
If you don’t want to transfer your number over to us, you can instead get an Air Landline number from us, and then ask your current provider to divert all calls to your current number to the Air Landline number. Can I port-in mobile numbers to your service?
No, at present we can’t port-in mobile numbers to our service. We recommend transitioning to a local Air Landline number. To do this you can get an Air Landline number, then set the voicemail on your mobile number to tell customers to call you on your Air Landline number.
Can I transfer multiple landline numbers to Air Landline?
Yes, note it’s £9.99 a month per landline number that we host for you.

We’re about half the typical price of a traditional landline rental, and we don’t charge for diverting calls to your mobile number.
